This month, we took a moment to honor the legacy of Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon and a fellow Rotarian. Armstrong was a member of the Rotary Club of Wapakoneta, Ohio, and his achievements serve as an inspiration to us all. His home club made him an honorary life member after his historic lunar landing. It's not just about reaching new heights; it's about the impact you leave behind.
Weekly Meetings: A Platform for Knowledge and Friendship
Our weekly meetings at the Corpus Christi Country Club have been a source of inspiration and camaraderie. This month, we were honored to have Whitney Hendley discuss the future of Driscoll Children's Hospital and Kathleen Clark from the Alzheimer's Association share invaluable insights. These meetings are not just about the 3-course lunch; they are about building lifelong friendships and making a difference in the community.
Community Involvement: Miracle League of Corpus Christi
We continue to engage with the community through various initiatives, including our collaboration with the Miracle League of Corpus Christi. Our meetings offer a blend of great presentations and fantastic company, making each gathering a unique experience.
Rotary Leadership Institute: Empowering Future Leaders
For those who've ever wondered about the essence of Rotary, the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is the place to find answers. Several of our members are RLI graduates, and we encourage everyone to register for the upcoming classes. The courses are designed to provide a deeper understanding of what it means to be a Rotarian.
