What an emotional and memorable New Member Induction we had last week, as we welcomed Gerene Beckley into her new Rotary Family. It's seems to be quite a first to have a Daughter joined by her Mother into a Rotary Club. We're still searching, but have found no precedent so far! Congratulations to both, Gerene Beckley, and Debbie High! You both make us so proud....
And we were so thrilled to have our District Governor Maxie Houser, join us, to celebrate this amazing date.
Gerene has already anoounce that she is becoming a Paul Harris Fellow, and a Paul Harris Benefactor! As the saying goes, "Who could ask for any more?"
This week-end, as on every "Flag Day" Holiday, we set up Flags and beautified The Country Club Town Homes, and Carriage Park areas. And we were thrilled to be working with a vibrant Troop 232. A lot of new Boy Scouts, supported by an active group of Parents. We are looking forward to working with all of them in many more projects.
Next Saturday will be another of these days we wil long remember. We are still looking for a few volunteers to help with the preparation of blue Print and materials, on Friday Feb 21. Then Saturday, 2/22/14, we will start in Corpus Christi at 8:00 @ Dykes' business. We'll then head on to Robstiown to build our first Ramp. After a quick lunch,we will then head tio Dcanfia for a Second Ramp. If you have never done this, come, join us, and experience for yourself the exhilation of bringing a new way of life to those in need. Gerene has already signed up to come and help!
