Program
Art Ramirez and Shane Rackley presented an update of the HELP (Hammons Educational Leadership Program). HELP introduces the young people to the real jobs, that they would never know about without this kind of programs. They have "Career Computers in 5 of the CCISD High Schools, on-site visits in the local businesses, where students get to interact with the local staff, and discuss about their job. Valero and other local businesses are among the Program supporters. They have one big fundraiser every year: Putting with your Politicians. This year, it will be held on Sept 24.
Betty's Quote of the Day was read by... Betty Frantum!
"When I was a kid I wanted to be older... This crap is not what I expected."
