Today's program was a celebration of "Unsung Heroes," a program that recognizes the outstanding employees who faithfully serve the City of Corpus Christi.
This is the 8th year that Southside Corpus christi honors those who work in the background, and need to be recognized. Starte by Sheriff Jim Kaelin, this Program is headed by Rendell Webb.
This year's "Unsung Heroes" are:
Phillip Salone, for his exemplary work ethic, professionalism, and dedication to the citizens of Corpus Christi. Mr. Salone has the responsibility to operate several heavy construction equipment machines for the repair and construction of streets. He is very dependable, punctual, and always early to start the work. His technical performance and work ethic sets a positive example for the other employees of the Street Department.
Jose Najarro, for his dedication, superb service, and "can do" attitude for the citizens of Corpus Christi. Mr. Najarro has the responsibility of timing and coordinating traffic signals to enhance traffic flow around the City of Corpus Christi. His skills and knowledge are instrumental in improving traffic signal timing and in reducing traffic delays and congestion.
