Dear Rotarians and Friends,

Our last regular meeting of the year finished with some high notes: 2 new Paul Harris Fellowships:

- A very emotional presentation to Rod Vaughn, on behalf of several anonymous friends in the Club, in gratitude for all he does all year long for our Club, and his extraordinary participation to our Ramp and Flag projects;

- And a second PHF for Gerene Beckley in her third month as a member! What an inspiration!

We also had the pleasure of inducting our last member for this Rotary Year, Carrie Rice. Carrie will be a great addition to our Club. Hats off to all those who sponsored new members, bringing our membership to 57 members, a 20% growth!

On a more somber note, you certainly noticed that our Sergeant-of-Arms, Fred Hayden, was not at the door last Wednesday to greet you with his usual bright smile. This Monday,  Fred will be undergoing a triple bypass surgery. Please keep him in your prayers, and don't hesitate to give him a shout-out!

Also Matt Beavers announced that after 27 years, he will be leaving our Club and the position of Executive Secretary that he held for 18 years! To smooth the blow, Matt made a generous donation of $270 in honor of the 10 members of our Club who have been here with him for these last 27 years! Thank you, Matt, for all your service!

A big thank you, also to Joe High, for stepping in, as Gary "Flash" Blum couldn't be with us, and seize these great memories!

And a few exciting news, to introduce our new year... Please see below this message, how we are Getting social!! And you can help!

Thank you Bridget and Linnae for helping us to Light Up Rotary in 2014-2015

Next Wednesday is the Day!!

Next Wednesday evening, instead of our regular lunch meeting, we will have a wonderful dinner at the Country Club, where I will be demoted, and we will swear in our New President John Owen, and his Board of Officers for 2014-2015.

 You don't want to miss this great evening, but we now need to make our final count:

Looking forward to seeing you all, Wednesday Evening!!!

Yours in service,

Suzanne Guggenheim

President 2013-2014
