Today's program was our own David Walker.
The topic was: All you ever wanted to know about the "Do Not-Call" list.
By a show of hands, about 50% of our members are on the do-not-call list.
The Registrar was started in 1993. The purpose was to eliminate excessive sales calls. Time limit was 5 years. In 2008 the time limit was eliminated.. You can till register, The rules apply also to faxes. You cna tell people not to call you. The caller must enter your request and not call you again. There are exceptions. It doesn't apply to business lines. Charities, Bill Collectors, and political calls are exempt from this rule.
Dow is up 119 points. Good economic numbers. Housing starts were not as good as expected; inventory was up. Crude oil down.

Today, Betty's quote, read by Matt, was:

"If God is your co-pilot, swap seats."
